ABOUT WILL

Will Frentz is a longtime member and former captain of the U.S. Deaf Men’s National Team whose story spans elite sport, leadership, Deaf advocacy, and overcoming barriers.Born profoundly Deaf, Will grew up navigating both the Deaf and hearing worlds. American Sign Language was his first language, and he received his first cochlear implant at age five. Soccer became a place where communication looked different and where his ability to lead could speak for itself.Over nearly two decades representing the United States, Will has competed internationally at Deaf World Cups, the Deaflympics and the Pan American Games, including years serving as national team captain.Away from the field, Will has built a career in business, philanthropy and U.S. Soccer while advocating for greater opportunities for Deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
